pfSense - OpenVPN CRL has expired Error

I have recently updated the OpenVPN package in my pfSense and started to get an error when trying to connect to the server.

The error CRL has expired is related with the Cetificate Revocation List.

Nov 27 21:21:31 openvpn 32180 94.xxx.xxx.xxx:43793 VERIFY ERROR: depth=0, error=CRL has expired: CN=xxxx, C=GB, ST=London, L=London, O=infoitech, OU=Cloud, serial=4

An user had the same issue and used this solution to fix it.

Another solution that does not require the installation of packages would be to reissue the CRL with a lifetime under 368 days.

After ressuing it, make sure to update your OpenVPN server configuration to use the newly created CRL.
