The script below is extremely handy when managing megaRAID cards :

You just need to make sure to follow my previous post explaining how to install the megaRAID CLI and change line 11 to reflect where your megaCLI is installed.

Before executing the script don't forget to set the script as an executable file :

hv2-ssh@hv2:~ chmod +x lsi.sh

Run it as shown below without arguments to be presented with the options available :

hv2-ssh@hv2:~ ./lsi.sh

In a future article we will delve into bash scripting to turn the megacli output into a JSON object and feed it to our monitoring to get alerts if something goes wrong with our RAID.
